How to play Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 on LAN/VPN?
Ever wanted to play PES 2008 on LAN/VPN? Using PES-Magazine you can do just that!
All you need is:
Up-to-date PES 2008 including 1.20 patch
Pesmagazine (You can easily download from Rapidshare using JDownloader)
Detailed guide is complete. If any error is found or missing details feel free to comment. Read more for the PESMagazine guide.
PESMagazine GUIDE
Hamachi (VPN)
Setup Hamachi
Goto http://www.planethamachi.com/ and find some PES networks to join to.
Pesmagazine setup
1. Extract Pesmagazine into a convenient location and create a shortcut for it on your desktop
2. Execute Autorun.exe
3. Click on Setup
4. Setup and DOS windows should popup as shown in the image below.
5. Approve the firewall rule as a window will popup.
Pesmagazine – Playing a game
1. Click on Play Online
2. Only in the first time you’ll run Pesmagazine, it would need to where PES is installd. So when it asks, just point to PES2008.exe
3. A Splash screen will popup (image 1) and then a message reminding you to update with 1.20 patch (image2)
4. Enter you opponents real or Hamachi IP and each player should choose his role, as one needs to be server and one needs to be client (image 3)
5. When both players have chosen their roles a countdown timer will show (image 5) and after the time has passed a balloon and an icon should be at your system tray (image 6)
Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 – Setup a game
1. Run PES2008
2. Choose Network
3. Enter any password as you like, check mark to save password and confirm (you will only need to enter this password once if you if you check mark Save your Password)
4. Follow the path as Server or Client according to what you have chosen earlier on Pesmagazine
Server Client
5. As soon as you and your opponent will choose Start Match, you will get into the familiar screen of choosing a team and then to formation screen, from now on, I’m sure you will know your way.
6. Enjoy your LAN/VPN matches

Anonymous, if you can ping each other, you can connect using your real IPs.
dragon, on which settings are you talking about?
If you’re talking about formations, you can using Network Options on the Network menu.

i got 2 the part where i get the pesmagazine connection running.
when i try to get to the password part -in network- it says an error occured during verification.

hey FoxHound me and my friend is having a problem with this…….
we followed those steps and we got all the way up to the part where he has made a server and he is just waiting for me to enter his game
i can see his room listed under Friendly match column but when i click on it to enter….. the message “acessing” apears for 10seconds and I get another message that says “your connection has timed out”
After this, I made a server and he tried to enter but he was confronted with the same error
please help us ASAP

* dude, most of the chances are that you haven’t established the connections using in PES Magazine, try again.
* jay, Unfortunately, this method is not 100% perfect. I too, encountered this problem versus specific players and haven’t found a way to overcome it.
Try disabling security applications like antivirus and firewall and try again.
* haresh, You can type any password that you like, just check the “Save your password” option for PES to remember it and that’s it.

I’m not sure, I do encounter ping problems myself.
I don’t know what causes them.
The game itself, the launcher or some other app.

I have one problem too. I can ping my friends IP, but he CAN’T ping my. Is there any way to connect each other?? It just goes to part where is LOADING when he choose client i choose server. It starts loading and never finish. Can you help please. Thanks

help we do every thing according to this guide and then but in the end when i as a client enter the servers game in his user list he cant see me and the start game tab is grey helppppppppppppp we really need to play it
